I.S.P.O. 20th World Congress 2025 in Stockholm with new Programme Formats
More practical relevance and new offers for students: Two new programme formats will be added to the upcoming I.S.P.O. World Congress in order to create a stronger link to practical topics in everyday working life and also to offer valuable professional development sessions for young professionals.
Organised for the first time at the next edition of the I.S.P.O. World Congress, the technical track aims to promote the fabrication arts through demonstration and the use of hands-on fabrication instruction. Therefore, a new committee, the Technical Track Committee, has been set up to organise the technical track sessions. During the technical track sessions, techniques and generic materials will be discussed and demonstrated, not products. Presenters will either be invited directly by the Technical Track Committee or selected from responses to a call for presentations. Further details will be available shortly.
The 3 Minute Thesis (3MT) is an academic competition for students to improve their presentation and communication skills. Participants have 3 minutes to explain their research project to a multidisciplinary audience. The competition is open to all students who are currently enrolled in a Bachelor's, Master's or PhD programme, or who have not yet graduated. Presentations must be based on research that is related to the student’s programme thesis and our congress topics . Help from mentors is possible to achieve the latter goal. Naturally, there will be prizes for the best.
The call for contributions opens in June 2024.
