COLLABORATION AND INNOVATION TOWARDS A SUSTAINABLE CONGRESS

Sustainability means thinking not only about today, but also about future generations. In this sense, resources should be preserved and utilised in the long term. Sustainability should become the basis of our behavior. The concept is increasingly finding its way into many areas of life and more and more institutions are signing up to the “United Nations' sustainability goals”

The I.S.P.O. 20th World Congress aims to commit to the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (UN SDGs). The theme “Science in Practice, Practice in Science: Collaboration and innovation towards sustainable rehabilitation!” already highlights an intersection between science and practice in prosthetics and orthotics with sustainability.Contributions to the programme are encourage to highlight links to the focus on sustainable rehabilitation where possible.

Sustainable approaches to catering and reduced food waste

Catering is offered for participants at large congresses and events. So that everyone has a choice, food and drinks are often left over. To ensure that less food is wasted, everyone can make a contribution and book their meals when they register. Take advantage of this and pre-order your lunch and only register for social events you really plan to attend!
