Digitizing your Production: Create a perfect-fitting 3D printed Orthotic within 24 hours

1:00 PM - 2:15 PM Thu 19. Jun

Description

Additive manufacturing is changing the orthotics and prosthetics industry. In this hands-on workshop, participants will explore how 3D printing technologies can offer quicker delivery of custom-made devices, tackle the lack of skilled staff, provide repeatable and accurate results, and contribute to sustainability through reduced material waste.

Participants will gain insights into the full workflow, from scanning and design to 3D printing and post-processing, with a focus on personalized insoles, orthoses, and other aids. The session will also cover the refresh rate of Nylon 11 powder, and strategies to maximize packing density during the printing process will be discussed, highlighting its role in reducing material waste.

This interactive workshop will emphasize the benefits of integrating additive manufacturing into existing practices and facilitate discussions on overcoming challenges in implementation. Learn how 3D printing can help you create customized medical devices tailored to individual patient needs.
